A Simple Logic
God is nothing but an extension of the subtlest state of existence. What is the subtlest state of matter? Energy, nothing but energy. Physicist David Bohm's view is that matter is nothing but a tiny drop in an infinite ocean of energy. "Energy is matter and matter is energy," is the same as saying, "God is existence and existence is God." It is as if the body of God is visible while His spirit is invisible, just like we human beings have a body, which is visible while our soul is invisible.
Today many scientists believe that the universe is intelligent and some have even performed experiments to prove that particles are conscious. If particles are conscious, then energy too must be conscious. Then God is nothing but a conscious energy. This is what mystics have always proclaimed. Why seek God beyond existence? It is existence itself. Isn't the organisation of particles and the order in the organic and inorganic worlds wonderful? Can there be any organisation and order without intelligence? Why should there be a designer and a design existing as two separate entities? Isn't the designer the design itself? For isn't it energy itself that becomes matter and the whole existence?
Scientists do not believe that there is a God behind the creation, but what else could there be apart from a supreme conscious force which is not only beyond creation but also exists as creation itself? Is the wave separate from the sea? Has it ever, even for one moment, been separate from the sea? Then how can matter or existence be separate from God? Yes, conditioned minds find it very difficult and even impossible to accept that God has become the universe including the most minute details. For them, let us say that energy, which is conscious, has transformed itself into everything that exists.
Then a question comes to mind: why? But why this 'why'? It is because of the nature of the mind and believe it, why's are infinite! To satisfy the curiosity of the mind, know that energy is bound to manifest because such is its nature. We may relate thousand and one stories about God, religion, scriptures and so on, but the ultimate truth is that existence is an infinite conscious energy and that energy is delight infinite. And this goes in line with what William Blake said, "Energy is eternal delight!"
We can if we wish, or better if we have grasped this simple logic, make life on earth a paradise without going into the details of culture, religion or any form of conditioning. Leave aside everything else and understand this simple logic. Man too is matter, a tiny universe which conceals the same reality as the vast universe. This means that the subtle essence of our body extends far beyond it. In truth, our essence is nothing but that of the universe, the conscious energy. What people call soul or God within is nothing but that same conscious energy. But then, how is it that we do not enjoy much delight? The reason is that we are mistakenly identifying ourselves with the body instead of with that subtle conscious energy. But how can we correct such a mistake? It is very easy and very difficult at the same time!
The problem is with the mind - it has to be deprogrammed. It is as if we have been hypnotised to believe in something which we are not. If we have been hypnotised, then it is possible to be de-hypnotised. We are as if an emperor who is dreaming he is a beggar and is suffering. At one point he suffers so much that he groans. Perceiving the groan, the queen shakes the king who then wakes up immediately. Who would like to be shaken? That's the big question! The only hope is that we are not all completely asleep, there are many who could be shaken. Those who are willing to be shaken should seek the help of one who is already awakened.
